Do you know the muffin man

On a bitterly cold Iowa day, Nicky and I went to the movies at a local megamall. Later, we were at the children's play area. It was about 10 PM. The mall was closing so there were no people there. A white couple and two children ( one yr old girl and 4 yr old girl) were also in the play area. Saachi went over to the baby and started talking to her in Pinglish ( punjabi and english). The baby's mother is sitting right next to Saachi-trying to make heads and tails out of the steady stream of punjabi words peppered with some english words. The 4 year old (who is an inch shorter than Saachi) comes over and says to Saachi " hey, the baby does not speak Spanish" and then, as an afterthought- 'Hola' is hello in spanish". Saachi just looks at her, turns to the mother and with a very serious look on her face says- do you know the muffin man? Lady, a little flabbergasted but mostly amused says Yes! Saachi -'blahblahblah lane oh" and walks away. I was rolling on the ground with laughter.
